Muneeb Butt grateful to industry friends for support following blast at his residence

Muneeb Butt expressed gratitude to his industry for the steadfast support from the industry during a difficult time when he and his family suffered a hazardous incident last year

On February 20, 2022, a sewage line explosion caused the collapse of the wall in the residence of Muneeb Butt and Aiman Khan in Karachi's Federal B Area Block 10. During the incident on Sunday, a domestic worker and two children suffered minor injuries.

Reflecting on the incident in a recent interview, Muneeb said, "Humans should not ever attach themselves to material things in this world because when an incident happens and you lose those valuable materials, it affects you very deeply."

The “Baandi” actor continued, “At that time, I realised that I have so many well-wishers and friends in the industry, and God has given me so much respect.” He mentioned that the local leadership of all political parties came to visit him after the incident.

Muneeb mentioned that every single item in the house was carefully chosen by him and his wife Aiman Khan, revealing that they moved into the house in November and had barely spent two months in their newly-furnished home when the blast occurred.

"Aiman was in the room, and I was upstairs on the mezzanine floor. The first blast shook me, then a second blast occurred, which was the major explosion that destroyed the house,” he disclosed. 

The ‘Sar-e-Rah’ actor revealed that "the second blast occurred just as Aiman came outside the room, and the wall fell."

Munneb Butt expressed relief that his daughter Amal and his wife Aiman, who was three months pregnant at the time, were not inside the room.

Expressing gratitude to his industry friends, he thanked renowned producer Abdullah Kadwani, who assured him of unconditional help following the unfortunate incident.. 

He said that several other friends from the industry offered him support, mentioning, "Abdullah Qureshi booked a hotel for my family to rest there amidst the stressful situation”
