Nida Yasir reveals her parents spent Rs1 million on her wedding 22 years ago

Renowned Pakistani morning show host Nida Yasir has shared details about the expenses incurred on her wedding to director Yasir Nawaz 22 years ago. 

She recently appeared on a podcast hosted by Pakistani star Faysal Quraishi, where she opened up about her personal life, various issues and past controversies.

During the interview, Qureshi asked Nida about the expenses on her wedding.

The Naadaniyan star explained that the wedding ceremonies included Milad and Mayon on the same day, followed by Mehendi and Baarat ceremonies.

"I remember very well. As I was the elder daughter of my parents, my parents told me that Rs10 lacs were spent on my wedding," she added.

"It was a grand and luxurious wedding."

In response, Qureshi shared his experience of how he got drama opportunities during Nida's wedding.

"Yes, it was a luxurious wedding and I signed three dramas due to your wedding," the Muqaddar said.

The Wrong No actress also reflected on the changing trends in morning shows, noting that fans previously sought marriage-related content, but preferences have shifted over the past 15 years.

Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz tied the knot in 2002 and have three children together. 

The couple's enduring marriage has made them a beloved and respected pair in Pakistan's entertainment industry.
