Renowned actor Zara Noor Abbas dismissed the reports of temporarily quitting showbiz, emphasising that 'expecting mothers can successfully balance work and family life'.
Rumours flared about Abbas taking a break from acting after she hinted at a temporary hiatus in a candid interview with actor Yasir Hussain.
The "Stand Up Girl" actor took to her Instagram story to share a screenshot of a newspaper headline that read, "Zara Noor Abbas temporarily steps back from showbiz industry."
Addressing the rumours, the actress clarified that she's not leaving showbiz, saying "Why don't I make this statement myself?"
The ‘Chhalawa’ starlet asserted that there is a difference between taking a temporary break from acting and quitting work altogether.
“No one is leaving anything. Stop making pregnant women seem like they can’t manage family and work,” she added.
In a recent interview, she revealed plans for a one-year screen break. However, she never mentioned leaving the entertainment industry and expressed interest in pursuing projects beyond dramas.
The ‘Jhoom’ actor is expecting a baby, which she confirmed in an adorable post on Instagram in November 2023.
With a doughnut in hand and a radiant smile on her face, Abbas delightedly took to Instagram to share the heartwarming news of her pregnancy with her well-wishers.
While Zara didn't make a formal announcement, she subtly hinted at it in the caption, 'Round 2, Insha'Allah,' along with emojis of a baby and family.
