US woman Onijah Andrew Robinson’s visit to Karachi to meet her online boyfriend turned into a viral spectacle, with her actions capturing media attention and drawing social media reactions.

Many on the internet have also praised Pakistan’s hospitality, noting that despite her expired visa and lack of cooperation with authorities, she has been treated warmly by the people.

Onijah, 33, arrived in Karachi on October 11 to marry 19-year-old Nidal Memon after an online romance, but he abandoned her after his family refused the marriage and has since gone missing.

With her visa expired and no money or accommodation, she was stranded at Jinnah International Airport for several days a

The story took an unexpected turn when, despite having her ticket and visa arranged by Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori and philanthropist Zafar Abbas, Onijah refused to leave Pakistan and declined to board a flight to New York.

Amid concerns about her mental health, she was admitted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for evaluation.

Onijah now records videos with hospital staff, locals, and police officers. She has also developed a friendship with Police Inspector Shabana Gilani.

Onijah’s unique personality and unusual behavior have fascinated social media users, leading many influencers to mimic her mannerisms in viral videos.

But it’s not just her style that has drawn attention, her extravagant demands have also left the internet baffled. She has demanded land, property in Karachi, and over $100,000 in cash from the government.

While many see her story as a failed love affair, Onijah remains confident that she will reunite with Nidal. She has shared plans to move to Dubai with him and have a baby there.

She also claimed that Nidal will manage her real estate, which she expects the government to provide, and that he will also oversee her cryptocurrency investments.

Even though things were hard for her, Onijah’ bold style raised eyebrows online. Her story also drew attention to the generosity of Pakistani hospitality.

“She is acting like the President of Pakistan,” joked Instagram influencer M’tyma McNeal in a video.

Influencer Aslan Pahari explained that Pakistani people are showing hospitality to the US woman due to their "honor-based culture, Islamic values, and sometimes tribal traditions."

Several Instagram influencers mimicked Onijah’s press conference with philanthropist Ramzan Chhipa in Karachi, while others were particularly fixated on her eyebrows.

Many online users also raised concerns about her mental state and appreciated  the overwhelming hospitality she has received in Pakistan despite her unusual circumstances.
