'Kyun Shaam Hi Se Bujh Gae....': Sajjad Ali sings ghazal on loadshedding

The persisting issue of electricity shortage has conditioned us to cope with frequent load shedding and it often leads to expressions of frustration. However, some individuals channel this frustration creatively to articulate their grievances, and Sajjad Ali, the iconic musician did just that.
On a dark wintry night, when load shedding disrupted Sajjad Ali’s life, he took to his harmonium in a dimly lit room with a candle and expressed his grievances through his soulful vocals.
He took to the micro-blogging platform 'X' and shared a video of himself singing a classical song while playing the harmonium.
“Loadshedding ke naam,” his caption read.
"Two lines for the constant load shedding in the wonderful season of winter," said Sajjad, after which he started singing "Roshan Hain Dil Ke Daagh Na Ankhon Ke Shab Shab Charagh, Kyun Shaam Hi Se Bujh Gae Mahfil Ke Sab Charagh", penned by poet Shakeeb Jalali.
