Sania Saeed shares powerful message over mistreatment of stray dogs

Actor and philanthropist Sania Saeed shared an impactful message, addressing the mistreatment of stray dogs, and highlighting the lost practice of communities offering animals home-cooked meals as a gesture of compassion.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a video urging people to exhibit kindness towards starving stray dogs who struggle to find food. Saeed emphasised that when humans provoke them, the dogs, following their natural instincts, may respond aggressively.

She pointed out that when a human is deprived of food for days, they too might exhibit unruly behaviour.

In a detailed caption accompanying her video message, she wrote, "A lot of conversation is taking place regarding stray dogs. I think it's a good thing. A lot of people are revealing themselves. The deep-rooted problem of hidden violent tendencies, prejudice, latent anger and a peculiar helplessness, which is manifesting in cruelty to the vulnerable and the tolerance of it. This disability to approach a perceived problem rationally and compationately is not restricted to just stray dogs or donkeys or monkeys or cats. This attitude is pervasive. It spills over to most other perceived problems and humans. Most often the most vulnerable. It is worrisome to see that such brutality will be defended with this impunity. It is scary that these are common people around us. Everyday acquaintances, co-workers, and may even be friends. I shudder when I think our children will grow up around THIS.”

“I know a lot of others feel the same. Do your bit. Tell the good stories. Over and over. Till the bad ones are an anomaly,” she added.

Sania encouraged people to reach out to her or the pet shelter organisation to learn about vaccinating their pets and providing them with proper care and attention.
