Ushna Shah expressed surprise that her husband, Hamza Amin, despite being married, continued to be a magnet for female attention, which left her a bit perplexed.
In a recent podcast, she revealed that her husband receive intriguing DMs, with some women pretending to be her fans to connect with him.
The ‘Bashar Momin’ actor tied the knot with Hamza Amin this year on February 27 in a nikah ceremony in Karachi.
"Since our marriage, instead of keeping their distance, women have become more brazen. Their DMs are quite intriguing; they pretend to contact him on my behalf," she said.
During the podcast, Ushna Shah also opened up about the criticism she faced for her wedding dress, noting that the negative comments, especially those criticising her for imitating an Indian bride, took a toll on her mental health during the festivities.
She revealed that her husband deactivated her Instagram account following the unwarranted backlash she faced regarding her wedding dress. The ‘Cheekh’ actor said, "Our ministers and politicians embezzle citizens' tax money to afford dresses worth crores from India's Sabyasachi designer. Isn't that unpatriotic? My dress was designed by a Pakistani designer using my halal-earned money."
Continuing the discussion on cyberbullying, she brought up the incident involving her co-star Feroze Khan when he garnered attention due to domestic abuse allegations by his wife.
Shah maintained that she was not in contact with Feroze Khan.
"I hadn't been in touch with Feroze Khan for a long time. We had a falling out after our drama 'Habs,' and we eventually unfollowed each other,” Ushan explained.
During Ramadan, Ushna Shah noticed a surge in bullying directed at Feroze Khan. In response, she spoke out against cyberbullying, stating, "Due to my sensitivity, I made a post, urging people to respect Ramadan and refrain from excessive criticism. In the next post, I emphasised that forgiveness is solely between Allah and the affected person."
However, Ushna highlighted that despite clarifying her point in the next story, a single post went viral, leading to criticism. She lamented, "I have become used to it."
