Renowned actor Mahira Khan addressed the recent incident of heckling she encountered while performing onstage at an event in Quetta, stating that a single disruptive act by an individual can not overshadow the overwhelming love from the audience she witnessed.

Taking to Instagram, Mahira Khan maintained that interacting with large crowds can be nerve-wracking for artists. However, she disapproved of the idea of canceling future events in the city due to this one incident. Instead, she called for more such events, believing they could promote more awareness in the public.

“What happened at the event was uncalled for. No one should think it’s ok to throw something on stage, even if it’s a flower wrapped up in a paper plane. It sets the wrong precedent. It is unacceptable. There are times I get scared, not just for myself, but for others who may be trapped in a mob-like situation. But hear me out. While we were on our way back someone said after this we won’t have an event here’. I disagreed completely. That is not the solution,” she explained in an Instagram post accompanying the video of the incident.

“Here was a crowd of 10,000 or more… who were showing their love and excitement - the way They know best. Because I could see them I could see they didn’t know how to contain/express their excitement. Whoever the miscreant was, was 1 out of 10,000,” the "Parey Hut Love" starlet continued.

She went on to express, “What I do feel strongly about is that we need more events such as these in more cities of Pakistan. The more you are exposed the more you are aware and educated. Normalize it. And see what happens,”

Reflecting on her experience in Quetta, she admired the city's charm, from its delightful weather to its delicious food. "I came back enriched," she concluded.

The "Quaid-i-Azam Zindabad" actor was heckled onstage while she was speaking at an event in Quetta, however, she displayed remarkable poise and handled the situation with grace.

Mahira was visibly excited to be at Quetta "for the first time" for the Pakistan Literature Festival (PLF), but in the midst of her speech, she encountered an unexpected situation when objects were thrown at her from the audience.

The incident occurred twice. The first time, she handled it gracefully, allowing the event to continue. The host Wajahat Rauf promptly addressed the security personnel, requesting them to monitor the crowd.

Unfortunately, the harassment continued after which Khan calmly responded by saying, "How can I deliver a line when things are being thrown?"

Despite the disruption, the "Raees" star continued to engage with the audience and even fulfilled their request by saying a fan-favourite dialogue from her popular film, Maula Jatt.
