Lollywood diva Resham has said that entering a relationship requires careful consideration of both individual mental well-being and compatibility with a partner.

The seasoned actor, accompanied by co-stars Ahmed Ali Akbar and Aamna Ilyas for the upcoming movie 'Gunjal,' appeared on a talk show, where the discussion shifted to their marriage plans.

While Aamna and Ahmed expressed readiness for marriage, Resham highlighted the need for thoughtful consideration before committing to a relationship.

The ‘Naagin’ actor lamented the rising trend of breakups in the entertainment industry, pointing out that “even seemingly ideal relationships seem to crumble with alarming intensity.”

The program host suggested that Resham could lead by example by entering a successful and lasting marriage.

To which Resham responded, "What if I end up with a mentally immature partner?”

“I value my mental health more than being married,” she noted.

Resham expressed reluctance to enter into a relationship, pointing to the unfavorable experiences around her, saying, "It instills a lot of fear in me.”

In a previous interview, the legendary actor noted that while people freely express love, they often fall short of demonstrating lasting commitment.

Reflecting on the consecutive divorces among actors in showbiz, Resham expressed deep sadness over Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir's separation, as well as the end of Imran Ashraf and Kiran Ashfaque's marriage.

She lamented the trend, stating, "Marriages of seven to eight celebrities in the industry have ended. Sajal Ali's breakup saddens me; I have a great fondness for her. I also collaborated with Imran Ashraf, and witnessing his marriage dissolve, especially after meeting him and Kiran Ashfaq, saddened me deeply. They seemed genuinely happy and in love."

Renowned celeb Sajal Aly tied the knot with actor Ahad Raza Mir in March 2020, and their relationship garnered immense love both on and off-screen.

Actor Imran Ashraf exchanged vows with model Kiran Ashfaque in 2018, welcoming their son Rohan in 2020.

The Pride of Performance Award winner expressed concern over the trend of rushing into relationships based on superficial feelings, highlighting the importance of honouring commitments for enduring love.

She remarked, "Failure to fulfill the marriage relationship is not love in my eyes. It's crucial to uphold this commitment; some couples whose weddings I attended a few years ago have now separated."

Expanding on her viewpoint, Resham expressed her desire for a stable marital relationship.
