Renowned actor Fatima Effendi has said that society is becoming increasingly materialistic, with a growing trend of women pursuing married men "because they are financially established".

The actress recently appeared in a podcast, where she shared her observations on the changing social trends, particularly after the rise of social media.

She noted that people are now more focused on acquiring money and luxuries they see others enjoying, rather than being content with their own lives.

The Betiyaan actor expressed fears for her children's future due to the ongoing shift in social norms and values, where materialism is becoming more prevalent.

“God has not made everyone perfect. We all have imperfections. If someone has beauty, another might have wealth, or someone else might be blessed with health,” she said.

Addressing the issue of cheating, Fatima argued that "women often wrongly blame other women for trapping their husbands." Instead, she believes that "wives should know their partners better and hold them accountable."

"People should trust their partners. If there is no trust in the relationship, then instead of blaming other women, you should question your husband. He is not a baby," she said.

She further commented on the changing dynamics in society, saying, “Things are rapidly changing. Now there is a trend of single women going after married men because they are established.”
