 Selena Gomez became visibly emotional in a video shared on her Instagram Story, as she expressed her distress over the impact of the Trump administration's deportation policy.

In the heartfelt post, which has since been deleted, the 'Only Murders in the Building' star was seen crying uncontrollably while discussing the widespread fear and panic caused by mass deportations across the United States.

“I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise,” Gomez said through tears, as she spoke about the suffering of immigrant families, particularly children, affected by the policy.

President Donald Trump ordered 1,500 more military personnel to the border this week as part of a flurry of steps to curb immigration.

"I will send troops to the southern border to repel the disastrous invasion of our country," Trump said in his inaugural address.
