American actor and rapper, Will Smith, weighed in on the ups and downs of his life after the Oscar slap controversy.

The Men in Black actor recently appeared in BigTime podcast, where he talked about his inclination towards sacred books during the difficult times in his life.

“The last two years of my life have been a difficult time and my attention turned inward and I read all the holy books,” Smith said.

The Aladdin actor went on to say that he even read the Holy Quran "cover to cover during last Ramadan".

"This is the spiritual seeking phase of my life where I'm trying to cultivate as wide open as loving heart as I will be able to build," Smith added.

When he was asked about his learnings from the Holy Quran, Smith responded, “I wish I would tell how much Musa was mentioned in the holy book.”

“Through [the Holy] Quran, I read about Musa and his experiences,” he said.

“The other thing I love about [the Holy] Quran is its simplicity, I mean the holy book is so crystal clear and it’s hard to walk away with misunderstandings.”

“The spirit of the book is so beautiful and clear,” the Suicide Squad star mentioned.

Smith further revealed that he read all the holy books of the Abrahamic religion.

“From the Torah to the Bible and now to the Quran, I finally understood the line and the completion of the comprehension,” he concluded the topic.
