The UK High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, on Monday extended an invitation to British singer Zayn Malik for a tour of Pakistan.
This invitation came after Zayn Malik's collaboration with the Pakistani band ‘Aur’ on an Urdu song.
The UK diplomat expressed enthusiasm for the UK-Pakistan Urdu collaboration, encouraging Zayn Malik to consider planning a tour in Pakistan.
“Time to plan your Pakistan tour, @zaynmalik! Loving this UK-Pakistan Urdu collaboration with Aur,” her post read on ‘X’.
The UK High Commissioner shared a BBC interview featuring the ‘Aur’ band on his 'X' post.
In their interview with the BBC, the Pakistani band Aur expressed that collaborating with Zayn Malik on a Urdu single was "a dream come true."
Bandmate Raffey Anwar highlighted the expansion of their audience, stating, "Previously we only had a Pakistani audience, now we have people from the UK, Brazil, China... so it feels very good."
