Shahid Khaqan confirms death of two people of his constituency in Islamabad massacre

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has confirmed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters died in operation of security forces in Islamabad.
Talking to a private TV, Khaqan said two of people hailing from his electoral consitutency and one of Mardan lost their lives due to bullet injuries in Islamabad massacre.
He said their funeral prayers were offered yesterday.
Islamabad police reportedly spent over Rs. 330 million in their efforts to manage the recent three-day protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), according to sources.
To maintain control over the capital, authorities deployed more than 800 containers to block 24 key locations, at a cost of Rs. 72.8 million.
The containers have remained in place for a week, continuing to drive up costs.
During the protest, police used 35,000 tear gas shells, which alone accounted for Rs. 150 million in expenditures.
Additionally, the purchase of rubber bullets and 2,500 firearms added another Rs. 110 million to the total cost.
