Renowned religious scholar Muhammad Ali Mirza has criticized newlywed showbiz couple Gohar Rasheed and Kubra Khan for their Nikkah video from Masjid Al Haram, sparking debate over public displays of affection in sacred spaces.

Actors Kubra Khan and Gohar Rasheed, longtime friends, recently tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony, with their Nikkah solemnized at the holiest site in Makkah.

Following the ceremony, a video of Gohar kissing Kubra’s forehead went viral, drawing admiration from fans but also inviting scrutiny from religious circles.

During a Ramadan transmission on a private TV channel, Mirza addressed the viral moment, stating that while Islam encourages love and affection between spouses, such expressions should be kept private, especially in sacred locations like Masjid Al Haram.
