Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) chief on Tuesday suspended SDO for booking a five-year-old over power theft in Lahore.

According to the details, LESCO authorities filed a case of electricity theft against a 5-year-old child. The LESCO spokesperson clarified that the case was registered on a misunderstanding after power theft was caught in Lahore's Ahsanabad.

The spokesperson stated that when asked for the head of the household's name, the women informed them about Zain Ali.

The LESCO authorities did not have information about Zeen Ali's age. Subsequently, the case was registered without information.

The Chief Executive ordered the suspension of the SDO Neelam Town.

It appears that the case of electricity theft against the 5-year-old child might have arisen due to confusion and a lack of accurate information.

This incident highlights the importance of thorough investigations before filing legal proceedings.
