Pakistan’s batting consultant, Mohammad Yousuf, has withdrawn from the upcoming white-ball tour of New Zealand due to his daughter’s illness, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday.

The former captain informed the PCB of his decision, and while he will not be traveling with the team, the board has yet to announce a replacement for his role.

Despite Yousuf’s absence, the Pakistan squad is set to depart for New Zealand on Wednesday morning.

The tour includes five T20 Internationals (T20Is) and three One Day Internationals (ODIs), scheduled from March 16 to April 5.

The last T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand took place in April 2024, ending in a 2-2 draw after the series opener in Rawalpindi was washed out due to rain.
