A court in the port city has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against controversial public speaker Sahil Adeem in a case pertaining to using foul language against Sindhis.

During the hearing on Friday, the investigating officer of the case Waqar Ahmed submitted a final charge sheet against social media influencer.

Judicial Magistrate (South) Sher Muhammad issued the warrants against Adeem.

Adeem was booked under Sections 153 (promoting enmity between different groups), 505(1)(c) (intent to incite) and 500 (punishment for defamation) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 512 (record of evidence in absence of accused) of the criminal procedure code.

Waqar Ahmed was directed by the judge to arrest Adeem and appear him before the court on September 24.

The development came after an old video of the self-claimed cleric using derogatory language against the Sindhi community went viral on social media.
