258 Pakistanis deported from seven countries in last 24 hours: Immigration officials

A total of 258 Pakistani nationals returned to their homeland after being deported from seven different countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and China, during the past 24 hours.

Immigration officials reported that among those deported, 14 individuals possessed Pakistani passports, while the remaining 244 were sent back on emergency travel documents.

Upon their arrival at Karachi Airport, 16 deportees were apprehended for various legal infractions, while the others were released following an investigation.

From Saudi Arabia, 232 individuals were deported, which included seven beggars. Notably, two Pakistani nationals were found to be performing Hajj without the necessary permits.

Additionally, four Pakistanis had overstayed their Umrah visas, and 27 were working without proper sponsorship (kafeel).

The immigration authorities further indicated that 16 deportees had remained beyond the expiration of their visas, 112 were deported following complaints from their sponsors, and 63 faced other legal issues.

Moreover, the UAE deported 21 individuals, while one person each was sent back from China, Qatar, Indonesia, Cyprus, and Nigeria.

Immigration officials also noted that 16 deportees from the UAE and Nigeria were included on the FIA’s immigration stop list due to serious violations; however, they were released after questioning.

Additionally, officials from the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Immigration Cell at Karachi Airport offloaded 35 passengers, including 18 individuals attempting to travel on Umrah visas without prior hotel reservations and adequate funds.

Three individuals holding work visas, four on personal visit visas, and a woman traveling on a visit visa to Saudi Arabia were also denied boarding due to incomplete or improper documentation.
