Rawalpindi: Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Projects) of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi, has stated that Pakistan shot down eight Indian aircraft during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, adding that “the score now stands at 8-0”.

Addressing a press conference alongside DG ISPR on the completion of one year of the Marka-e-Haq, Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi said that the aircraft allegedly downed included four Rafale fighter jets, one Su-30, one MiG-29, and one Mirage 2000.

He further claimed that Pakistan had also destroyed an extremely expensive multi-role unmanned aerial system.

He reiterated that Pakistan had downed eight Indian aircraft during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos and stated that the “score” now stood at “8-0”.

During the same press conference, attended by the DG ISPR and the Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Projects), the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) stated that the Indian Navy had attempted on several occasions to deploy its naval fleet during the conflict.

He said that throughout the Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan’s ports remained fully operational and its coastal installations secure.

He added that effective coordination among Pakistan’s armed forces had been a key factor behind the country’s success, while emphasising that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be interpreted as weakness.
