Army Chief General Asim Munir's mother passes away

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir's mother has passed away. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and several political leaders offered their condolences to the army chief’s family. 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir's mother, stating that he shares the grief of the bereaved family. He also prayed for the departed soul and for strength and patience for the family during this difficult time.

President Asif Ali Zardari also extended his condolences, offering prayers for the deceased and asking for patience and strength for the grieving family.

Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani conveyed his sympathies, expressing deep sadness over the loss. "May Allah Almighty grant patience to the Army Chief and his family," he stated, adding that he stands with General Asim Munir in this hour of grief.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also expressed profound sorrow and condolences over the Army Chief’s mother’s passing. "Parents are a priceless gift of nature, and their loss is an irreparable tragedy," he said, emphasizing the deep emotional impact of such a loss.

Meanwhile, MQM-P announced that special prayers would be held for the forgiveness of the Army Chief’s late mother.
