Bushra Bibi named in 11 cases of May 9 riots

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s spouse, Bushra Bibi, was nominated in 11 cases related to the May 9 riots, revealed a report submitted in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.
During the hearing of a case, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor, Rawalpindi police and Islamabad police submitted the report of cases on Bushra Bibi.
According to the response submitted following the court order, Bushra Bibi was named in four Nab cases, including three and one registered by the anti-graft body's Rawalpindi and Lahore chapters, respectively.
Meanwhile, Rawalpindi and Islamabad police also submitted their response, while the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Balochistan police did not present their answer before the court.
The details provided by the Rawalpindi police revealed Imran Khan’s wife was nominated in 11 cases of the May 9 riots, including the General Headquarters (GHQ) attack.
The report showed that Bushra Bibi was named in the cases for the attacks on Army Museum, GHQ's main gate, military installations.
The cases against her were lodged in RA Bazaar, New Town, City, Waris Khan, and Taxila police stations.
The court issued notices to the FIA and Balochistan, seeking more details from the authority and adjourned the hearing until Monday.
