Bushra Bibi undergoes medical check-up at Bani Gala sub-jail after complaining of chest pain

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi's condition suddenly worsened, as she complained of acidity and chest pain after which a team of doctors reached Bani Gala sub-jail and examined her.

A team of PIMS doctors, including Dr Bushra Liaquat, Dr Hira, and cardiologist Dr Sidra examined the former first lady.

Bushra Bibi was recommended for a gastrointestinal evaluation, along with suggestions for dietary and lifestyle changes.

A few weeks ago, she alleged that three drops of toilet cleaner were added to her food on Shab-e-Miraj, which caused her health to deteriorate.

During her court appearance, while speaking to journalists, she stated that someone in jail told her that toilet cleaner was added to her food. However, she refused to disclose their name.

Bushra Bibi further claimed that after consuming toilet cleaner for a month, she experienced swelling in her eyes, chest pain, stomach pain, and a change in the taste of food and water.

Prior to this, she complained about excessive spices in her meals served by the sub-jail authorities.

PTI founder and his wife's personal physician, Dr. Asim Yusuf, stated that there was no evidence of Bushra Bibi being poisoned after her medical check-up, and no tests related to poisoning were conducted.

He suggested that Bushra Bibi's health should be assessed, considering her age, and recommended a stomach examination to confirm any health issues.
