CM Maryam plays 'ludo' with young heart patients at govt hospital

Punjab's head Maryam Nawaz Sharif has formally inaugurated the '‘Chief Minister’s Children’s Heart Surgery Programme', aiming to provide free treatment and operations to children with heart disease.
During her visit to the Children's Hospital in Lahore, CM Maryam distributed child surgery cards and reviewed the dashboard.

She also visited various departments, including the Cardiac Surgery Ward and HDU.
CM Maryam interacted with young patients, inquiring about their welfare, giving gifts, and playing Ludo with them.

She also spoke with the parents of the sick children to inquire about the facilities provided at the public hospital.
According to the briefing, over 5,000 children die annually due to a lack of timely heart surgery.
Under this program, children will receive surgery in private hospitals if government hospitals have no space.
The first phase will cover 6 government and designated private hospitals, including PIC Lahore, Children's Hospital Lahore, Children's Hospital Multan, PIC Multan and others.
The second phase will expand to Wazirabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and Sargodha. An online dashboard will monitor the program's progress.
