Ducky Bhai to stay in NCCIA custody for another three days

A Lahore court on Friday extended the physical remand of YouTuber Saadur Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, for another three days in a case related to allegedly promoting gambling applications on social media.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) produced the YouTuber before a judicial magistrate on completion of his two-day remand.

During the hearing, the investigation officer of the case informed the court that investigation was still under way and needed the suspect's remand for completion of the pribe.

After hearing the IO, the magistrate granted a three-day extension in the physical remand of Ducky Bhai. This is the sixth time the YouTuber's remand has been extended.

Ducky Bhai was taken into custody on August 17 at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Officials alleged that he promoted gambling and betting platforms, including Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365, and B9 Game, on his YouTube channel. He is also accused of serving as a “country manager” for at least one of these applications and of receiving financial compensation for his involvement.

According to case documents, the proceedings stem from an inquiry initiated on June 13 on the basis of “reliable source” information that certain YouTubers and social media influencers were promoting betting and gambling apps to the public for monetary gain.
