Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori fulfilled his promise by breaking the world record for the longest fireworks display at the Governor House on New Year's Eve, lasting for 45 minutes.

The previous record of 34 minutes was surpassed as the sky over Karachi lit up with vibrant colors during the grand celebration.

A large number of citizens gathered at the Governor's House to witness the city's largest world-class fireworks display, marking the arrival of the New Year with great enthusiasm.

The mesmerising display left the crowd in awe, as the sky dazzled with lights, spreading joy and excitement among the spectators.

Governor Kamran Tessori sent a heartfelt video message to the people of Pakistan from Istanbul, Turkey, where he was attending a New Year celebration, . He extended his wishes for a prosperous New Year, promising to make it a year of progress and happiness.

In his message, the Governor shared his ambitious plans for the new year, pledging to provide IT courses to 500,000 children, building on his previous initiative of training 50,000 children last year.

He emphasised his vision of transforming Sindh into an IT hub and reiterated his commitment to creating opportunities for the province's youth.

Highlighting the significance of the event, Governor Tessori clarified that the fireworks display was funded without utilising public taxes or government resources.

He drew parallels with global celebrations in cities like London, Paris, and New York, stating that Pakistan's New Year festivities were now on par with international standards.

The Governor further outlined his priorities for the coming year, including initiatives to address critical issues such as employment, water, electricity, and gas shortages.

He also vowed to tackle Karachi's waste problem, aiming to transform the city into a cleaner and greener metropolis.
