After Salman Akram Raja resignation as the Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sahibzada Hamid Raza has announced quitting the PTI core committee.
According to media, sources have revealed that Hamid Raza is also considering resigning from his National Assembly seat.
It is important to note that PTI’s Secretary General, Salman Akram Raja, also resigned from his position earlier today.
Sources mentioned that after PTI’s protests and continued criticism, Salman Akram Raja resigned from his post.
He had been assigned the responsibility of leading a convoy from Lahore to Islamabad, but after the roads were blocked, Raja planned a protest in Lahore instead. However, sources said that Salman Akram Raja failed to mobilize workers in Lahore as well.
Yesterday, in a video message, he stated that there were objections about why they didn’t reach Islamabad for the protest.
He explained that he had spent the whole day in the streets of Lahore, where even small gatherings of 10, 20, or 30 people were met with baton charges and arrests.
