Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif clarified his party's widely-used slogan 'Vote Ko Izzat Do,' which ostensibly conveys the significance of civilian supremacy, regardless of the ruling government in Pakistan.

The slogan was prominently advocated by PML-N during the self-imposed exile of its leader Nawaz Sharif and amid the legal challenges the party faced during the tenure of the PTI government.

In a recent interview with journalist Asma Shirazi, the former prime minister addressed inquiries about the absence of the popular slogan 'Vote Ko Izzat Do' from the ongoing election campaign of the party.

Shehbaz Sharif explained, " Vote Ko Izzat Do signifies respect for those who cast their votes in my favour. I hold in high regard the trust and confidence placed in me by the voters. In return, I am committed to providing my services to the fullest extent possible to those who supported me."

He affirmed his dedication to preserving the integrity of the votes cast for him, expressing his determination to explore all available avenues to address the concerns and needs of the people.

His clarification quickly went viral on 'X,' prompting people to question whether PML-N possesses a narrow interpretation of a seemingly empowering slogan as the party launched an entire campaign to rejuvenate itself following consecutive political setbacks.
