Islamabad police on Friday arrested two sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan from D-Chowk.

Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan were taken into custody by women police.

Former prime minister Imran Khan's two sisters have been taken to the Secretariat Police Station.

As part of the ongoing developments in Punjab, where the provincial government has deployed Rangers in four major cities.

The action follows the imposition of Section 144, which bans political gatherings, protests, and rallies.

The cities affected include Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, and Sargodha. In Lahore, the Punjab government has specifically requested the deployment of three companies of Rangers for enhanced security on October 5.

The ban under Section 144 will remain in place for three days, from Friday, October 4, to Sunday, October 6, across Rawalpindi, Attock, and Sargodha, as authorities seek to maintain law and order amidst rising political tensions.
