The daughter of the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, took a sharp aim at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, accusing him of “stealing” donations meant for cancer hospitals for personal gain.
She responded to a PTI supporter who alleged that her father “sold cinema tickets in the black market.”
The X spat erupted when Bakhtawar reacted to a post by former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry on the microblogging platform ‘X,’ where he compared Aseefa Bhutto and Maryam Nawaz Sharif to Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi.
“Both Aseefa and Maryam may not have read anything in their lives, they may listen to this intently. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has an Italian mother and lived a life of luxury, but when she speaks, she speaks the language of the common people. The pain for her people is so evident in every word,” Chaudhry's post read.

In response, Bakhtawar took a swipe at Fawad and Imran Khan, stating, “Aseefa Bhutto held multiple degrees in her 20s, while Imran thought Japan and Germany shared a border in his 70s.”

Bakhtawar’s remarks infuriated PTI supporters, who alleged that her father sold cinema tickets in the black market.
“My father owned the cinema, the entire building that housed the cinema, and the penthouse on top - long before he even entered politics. Meanwhile, Imran Khan steals from charity to pay his bills,” Bakhtawar replied.
