At the annual convocation of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, 505 students were awarded degrees in various fields, including MBBS, BDS, Doctor of Pharmacy, Master of Health, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Additionally, the university announced fee waivers for Palestinian students and the provision of scholarships.

According to media, the sixth convocation of Jinnah Sindh Medical University awarded degrees to graduates from MBBS, BDS, Doctor of Pharmacy, Master of Health, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing, among others. The ceremony also included the presentation of awards to outstanding teachers.

The convocation was attended by Vice Chancellor Professor Amjad Siraj Memon, Registrar Dr. Azam Khan, and faculty members from all departments. For the first time, graduates of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program were also awarded their degrees.

Dr. Muhammad Azaz-ur-Rehman (MBBS) and Dr. Amira Umar (BDS) were honored with the Best Graduate Award. In total, 19 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals were awarded. Dr. Kiran Fatima (MSPH) was recognized as the Best Graduate, with other top position holders including Fabiha Afzal (BBA), Neha (BSPH), and Adeeba Shah (BBA HCM).

During the ceremony, the graduates took an oath, and Vice Chancellor Professor Amjad Siraj Memon addressed them, emphasizing that they now carry a significant responsibility to contribute to the establishment of a healthier society.

Professor Memon also mentioned that over the past 12 years, 3,000 graduates from Jinnah Sindh Medical University, including doctors and other professionals, have been serving humanity both in Pakistan and abroad.

He further announced that the university would waive the fees of Palestinian students studying at Jinnah University and provide them with scholarships. Additionally, 25 Palestinian students coming from Gaza would receive admissions and scholarships for this academic year.
