Karachi cop shoots robber despite his surrender

A Karachi police officer shot and killed a robber who had surrendered himself near Parda Park on New MA Jinnah Road. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

The incident occurred on Tuesday.

CCTV footage showed two police officers chasing a robber on a motorcycle while the bandit attempted to escape on his own bike.

As the police closed in on the robber, his bike was brought to a sudden stop by a parked car.

The police officer then fired shots that injured the robber and he fell from his bike.

The video showed the robber surrendering himself while the police officer pointed his gun at him. The officer then beat the robber.

The officer also recovered the robber's gun that had fallen near his bike.

Eventually, people began to gather after hearing the sound of gunfire. The injured robber remained on the ground for a period of time.

A police spokesperson revealed that the deceased individual had been implicated in several criminal cases registered at five different police stations in the city.

In response to the incident , authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
