Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan’s son, Kasim Khan, has demanded proof of life and an end to what he calls “inhumane isolation,” stating that his father has been incommunicado for the past 25 days.
In a statement on X, Kasim Khan said, “My father has been under arrest for 845 days. For the past six weeks, he has been kept in solitary confinement in a death cell with zero transparency. His sisters have been denied every visit, even with clear court orders allowing access. There have been no phone calls, no meetings, and no proof of life. My brother and I have had no contact with our father.”
He added that keeping Imran Khan in isolation is “not a security protocol,” alleging that authorities want to keep him away from the public and prevent people from knowing about his wellbeing.
“Let it be clear: the Pakistani government and its handlers will be held fully accountable—legally, morally, and internationally, for my father’s safety and for every consequence of this inhumane isolation,” he stated.
Kasim demanded proof of life, saying, “I call on the international community, global human rights organizations, and every democratic voice to intervene urgently. Demand proof of life, enforce court-ordered access, end this inhumane isolation, and call for the release of Pakistan’s most popular political leader who is being held solely for political reasons.”

Earlier, Imran Khan’s sister and party members announced a peaceful sit-in after jail authorities once again denied the family permission to meet him, during which Noreen Khan was dragged on the road by police.
On Thursday, KPK Chief Minister Sohail Afridi also staged a sit-in protest outside Adiala Jail. He ended the protest and reached the Islamabad High Court on Friday.
It was decided that another protest call will be given on Tuesday after the situation at Adiala Jail, while a contempt of court petition will also be filed in the high court today.
