Naqvi assures Saudi envoy of crackdown on begging mafia travelling to the Kingdom

Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi assured Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Maliki of decisive action against professional Pakistani beggars traveling to Saudi Arabia and the mafias facilitating their travel.
According to media reports, this assurance was given during Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s visit to the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave, where he was warmly received by the Saudi Ambassador.
During their meeting, Naqvi and Nawaf bin Saeed discussed various matters of mutual interest and explored ways to further strengthen Pakistan-Saudi relations.
Naqvi highlighted the deep respect and importance Pakistan holds for Saudi Arabia, acknowledging the kingdom's consistent support during challenging times.
He reiterated that a crackdown would be launched against professional beggars traveling to Saudi Arabia and the mafias responsible for sending them, emphasizing that these activities are tarnishing Pakistan’s international image.
The Minister added that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been instructed to initiate a nationwide crackdown against the mafias involved in this illegal activity. On this occasion, the Saudi Ambassador reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia views its relationship with Pakistan as one based on brotherhood.
