Newborn abandoned in a hospital in Lahore, two suspects arrested

Lahore police have arrested two suspects in a case where a newborn was left abandoned at a children’s hospital in Nasirabad.
According to police officials, unknown individuals left the infant in the emergency ward of the hospital and fled the scene. When found, the infant was lifeless, leading to immediate investigation.
A case was then registered, and a special investigation team was formed. The team was headed by SP Model Town Asad Ali and SDPO Garden Town.
Investigators extracted the CCTV footage from the hospital and surrounding areas, and used modern tracking techniques, to identify the suspects.
Furthermore, the Police said the footage clearly showed the suspects entering the hospital and leaving the newborn in the emergency ward before exiting the building.
Keeping the evidence on the forefront, the authorities arrested two individuals identified as Aamna Bibi and Allah Wasaya.
Both suspects are residents of Rahim Yar Khan and were reportedly working near Hafeez Centre in Lahore.
Moreover, Police has informed that efforts are ongoing to arrest a third suspect, identified as Sana.
Authorities have praised the investigation team for their swift action. SP Model Town Asad Ali announced that commendation certificates would be awarded to officers involved in solving the case.
Investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
