Renowned politician, Saira Bano, known for her witty satirical remarks aimed at rival political parties, offered insights into the lofty promises made by political parties in Pakistan as the elections approach.

In a recent interview, Saira Bano delved into her political journey, expressing her passion for aviation from her days serving as cabin crew in PIA. She also expressed a strong desire to return to flying if an opportunity arises.

During the conversation, she humorously mentioned stumbling upon a song on her phone that she amusingly considered including in her election campaign.

"I stumbled upon an interesting song and contemplated how to incorporate it into my election campaign," she quipped.

The lyrics of the song, as Saira shared, go like this: "Aao tumhein chand pe lejayein, Pyar bharey sapney sajayein [Come, let's take you to the moon, and weave dreams filled with love]

Saira humorously alluded to the grand promises made by political parties during their election campaigns to attract voters.

She emphasised that the song fits well for her election campaign as she has nothing more to pledge, given that all promises have already been made by the political parties.

The former member of the National Assembly noted that while such activities happened before, people have become more conscious of them now.

She remarked that she can't help but laugh when she receives leaflets from political parties filled with lofty promises.

“I cannot make unrealistic or irrelevant commitments,” she stated.

She highlighted her track record of accomplishing substantial work in her constituency over the past fifteen years. When people approached her with gratitude, she candidly informed them that their welfare projects were funded by their own tax money. She recounted that following this revelation, she was barred from delivering a speech.
