Pakistan Army remains committed to ensure safety of its citizens: ISPR

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday said that the Pakistan's security forces are determined and remain committed to ensure safety of its citizens.
In a statement, the military's media wing said that Pakistan has witnessed a surge in terrorist incidents orchestrated from Afghan soil.
"Terrorists from Afghanistan attempt to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan Border and target Security Forces as well as the innocent civilians," it added.
ISPR informed that the security forces have been conducting raids along Pakistan-Afghanistan border and other areas to neturialse the terrorists since April 21.
"As a result of effective engagements, 29 terrorists have been successfully neutralized by the Security Forces in past one month. In the same series of operations, during an intelligence based operation on 14 May 2024, Maj Babar Khan also embraced Shahadat, while fighting gallantly."
The military vowed to secure the borders and ensure safety of its citizens against the scourge of terrorism.
The Pakistan Army's media department said that the country has consistently been asking Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side of border.
"Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan Soil by terrorists for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan," it hoped.
