KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) announced on Tuesday that several neighborhoods in Karachi might experience light drizzle tonight.

Despite this, the overall weather in the coastal city is predicted to remain predominantly hot and humid over the next 24 hours.

The PMD reported that the minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 30°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to fluctuate between 35°C and 37°C. The department also noted that the humidity level in the air currently stands at 72%, with sea breezes blowing at a speed of 30 to 35 kilometers per hour, providing some respite from the heat.

Looking back to last week, the Met Office had predicted that most regions in Sindh would continue to endure intense heat until June 20. This forecast appears to hold true as the heat persists.

In addition to Karachi's weather update, the PMD highlighted that the majority of the country will experience very hot and dry conditions today.

However, there is a forecast for possible thunderstorms in certain areas, including Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, and the Potohar region. These areas might see some weather activity providing a brief relief from the prevailing heat.
