Political upheavals
January 9: Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi indicted in the Toshakhana reference.
January 16: Indictments issued against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Iddat case.
January 30: Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi sentenced to 10 years in jail in the cipher case.
