Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders expressed their disapproval of alleged interference in the party's internal affairs by former prime minister Imran Khan’s spouse, Bushra Bibi, and his sister, Aleema Khan.

Several party leaders, speaking on the condition of anonymity, claimed that Bushra Bibi and Aleema Khan’s behavior towards the party leadership has become increasingly problematic.

One insider highlighted Aleema Khan’s altercation with PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and Raja Salman within the premises of Adiala Jail, stating it reflects growing discord within the party due to the involvement of the two women in its affairs.

The News quoted a party leader, who requested anonymity, stating that senior PTI leaders facing multiple FIRs, imprisonment, and business shutdowns have also been subjected to disrespect.

The resignations of Salman Arkam and Sahibzada Raza were attributed to internal tensions, but party insiders revealed that several unresolved issues have not yet been made public.

A source disclosed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is also under pressure. According to the source, a Punjab-based senator plans to soon expose how PTI leaders have been mistreated.

An audio leak from a PTI political committee meeting further highlighted differences between the party’s leadership and the involvement of Bushra Bibi and Aleema Khan. Reportedly, Muhammad Ali Khan revealed in the recording that Bushra Bibi ignored Imran Khan’s directives and insisted on leading the march to the Red Zone.

The recording also indicated that Aleema Khan announced the November 24 protest without consulting the party’s chairman or secretary general, causing frustration among party leaders.

Senior PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai also raised objections to Bushra Bibi’s decision to lead the march to the Red Zone.

On the other hand, The Guardian quoted Mishal Yousafzai, spokesperson for Bushra Bibi, who acknowledged the reports of internal differences but insisted that Imran Khan fully trusts his wife

She maitianed that Imran Khan had shared the plan of the Islamabad march with Bushra Bibi because he could not trust the PTI leadership.

Meanwhile, PTI Secretary of Information Waqas Sheikh dismissed these claims, asserting that the party holds both Bushra Bibi and Aleema Khan in high regard but insisted that neither is involved in politics.

“They have a close relationship with the former prime minister and meet the party’s incarcerated founder to relay his messages. However, the reports of their misconduct towards party leadership are completely baseless,” he added.
