An elderly Australian couple on Monday abandoned travelling in their  102-year-old car due to the scorching heat in Jacobabad.

Lang and Bev Kidby had begun their journey from London in their old car and intended to end travel in Melbourne after taking the trip of the world.

Nevertheless, they had to leave their car after 50 degrees Celsius heat welcomed them in Jacobabad and made them unwell.

The couple loaded their open car into a truck and sent it to Lahore.

Mohsin Ikram, their coordinator, said they are travelling in a normal car for now and planned to take their car back from Lahore before departing for India via Wagah.

He said both of them are over 70 years old, and due to the extreme weather, they became unwell.

The couple entered the country on May 23 via the Taftan border between Pakistan and Iran. After spending two days in Balochistan, they moved to Sindh.

They are travelling in a 1922 car under the FIVA flag, an agency governing vintage automobiles in 100 countries, and they completed a journey of over 80 countries in their vintage car.
