Heavy traffic will be allowed from 11 PM to 6 AM, as the Karachi administration has enforced Section 144 to regulate heavy vehicle movement outside of specified hours.
Additionally, heavy traffic will be restricted to three designated routes during daytime hours.
The official notification issued by the Karachi commissioner stated, “There is a complete prohibition on the movement of heavy vehicles within city limits, except those transporting essential goods (such as water, edible oil, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, life-saving medical gases, meat, skin, and related items), permitted only between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.”
Furthermore, dumpers carrying construction materials and mixture machines are prohibited throughout the city.

The Sindh government has also required that all heavy vehicles operating in Karachi possess a physical fitness certificate.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon remarked, “The provincial government will ensure that all heavy vehicles on the roads have a fitness certificate,” following a meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to discuss the increase in traffic accidents and the subsequent criticism directed at authorities for their negligence.
