Security forces neutralize 22 Kharjis in major intelligence-led operation in Bannu

Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bannu, killing 22 militants. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that clearance operations are ongoing in the area to search for additional militants backed by India.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the operation was carried out following information about the presence of the Fitanah-ul-Khawarij group. Security forces effectively targeted the militants’ hideouts, and in a heavy exchange of fire, 22 terrorists were killed.

According to the ISPR, under the Azm-e-Istiqamat (Resolve for Stability) initiative, operations will continue until terrorism is completely eliminated. Security forces and law enforcement agencies are committed to dismantling enemy networks.

The ISPR emphasized that the primary objective is the complete eradication of terrorism supported and facilitated by foreign backing. 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the successful operation against Fitanah-ul-Khawarij in Bannu, noting that the killing of 22 terrorists was a major achievement.

He added that the entire nation stands united with the armed forces in the fight against terrorism and is determined to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.
