Sialkot College sacks Urdu professor due to his 'religion'

A professor, who belongs to the Ahmadiyya community, was fired from Superior College Sambrial in Sialkot after students staged a protest against his faith.
According to the details, the controversy began on September 9 when students accused the professor of being an Ahmadi.
The development was shared by a social media user on his microblogging account X on September 11.
The user, named Saad Jarral, posted a video clip in which hundreds of students could be seen protesting and chanting slogans against the professor.

Later, the professor, who prefers to remain anonymous, confirmed that he was sacked by the education institution over his faith.
The teacher said he had been teaching Urdu and Pakistan Studies at the college for 11 years.
Another professor of the college also confirmed the development to Geo News saying his colleague was terminated due to his religious beliefs.
The other professor also resigned from his post condemning the college's actions prompted by unjust protests by students.
