In light of security concerns in the wake of the scheduled visit of the Iranian president, several roads in Karachi will be closed for traffic on April 23. 

According to the routes issued by the traffic police, Club Road will be completely closed from PIDC to Metropole, while Dr. Ziauddin Road will be shut from Ziauddin Signal to PIDC Chowk. Additionally, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road will be closed from Khajoor Chowk to PIDC. To facilitate traffic flow, alternative routes have been provided for commuters.

Meanwhile, passengers travelling from Sultanabad will be redirected to Khajoor Chowk, Aiwan-e-Sadar Road through PIDC Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road, and those coming from Sharea Faisal to Sultanabad will have the option to take a left turn from Club Chowk, proceeding through Clifton Bridge and Boat Basin to reach their destination.

Additionally, traffic coming from Khaliquz Zaman Road, Ghizri, will have the option to take a right turn at Ziauddin signal and a left turn at Hoshan Chowk,to Fawara Chowk, Aiwan-e-Sadar through Metropole. The passengers travelling from Shaheen Complex can take a left turn from Khajoor Chowk and proceed towards Aiwan-e-Sadar Road, Awari Tower Clifton, and other areas.

The traffic police advises passengers to opt for alternative routes to avoid any inconvenience during the road closures.

In a separate development, a notice has been issued for the takeover of a private hotel by the government from April 22 to 24. Consequently, all bookings at the hotel have been cancelled, and all shops within the hotel premises will remain closed during this period.
