Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership is reportedly concerned over the interference of PTI founder Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khan in party affairs, according to media reports.
Aleema Khan has publically criticized current PTI leadership for not doing 'enough' to get the incarcerated party founder out of jail.
Sources said PTI leadership in their recent meeting with the jailed PTI founder, 'complained' about the interference of Aleema Khan in part affairs.
PTI leaders told Imran Khan that Aleema Khan often criticizes the party leadership in her media talks without knowing the background context of the issue.
In response, PTI founder Imran Khan reportedly advised leaders to ignore the statements of his sister Aleema Khan.
Recently, PTI leadership including Omar Ayub, Latif Khosa and others also raised reservations about the role of Aleema Khan.
In August, ALeema got furious over the postponement of the Islamabad rally.
She asked why the chairman of the party, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, who was not even in jail, did not decide about the Islamabad rally. Aleema Khan also inquired as to who ordered party leader Azam Swati to send a message to PTI Founder Imran Khan, requesting the rally's postponement.
Over the concerns of the party leadership of entering into politics, Khan’s sister, Aleema, maintains that her primary focus is her brother’s release and that she is not interested in PTI’s political matters.
But the recent developments show that the 'power war' has begun in the party ranks
