CM Maryam to build 21-storey Arfa Karim IT Tower II in Lahore

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the establishment of 21-storey Arfa Karim Tower II in Lahore in order to enhance the facilities of Information Technology in Punjab.
The project was approved in the meeting of the newly formed cabinet, presiding by the first female Punjab CM.
Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Provincial Adviser Pervaiz Rasheed, Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Zahid Bukhari, MPA Sania Ashiq, the chief secretary and other concerned officials were in attendance.
It was told to the attendees that the provincial government making efforts to launch more of the projects of Information Technology (IT) City, education, and Film City.
The meeting also revealed that Microsoft, Oracle, and other IT companies have shown their interest in investing in the said projects.
PML-N’s chief organiser said that the government would provide business opportunities for IT firms to build their offices within the city.
Nawaz’s daughter also asserted to enhance the opportunities for higher education with the collaboration of international organisations by "inviting them to build their campuses in the provincial capital".
She directed the concerned official to immediately contact the heads of reputed educational institutions in this regard.
Similarly, CM Maryam gave the go-ahead to initiatives of free wifi service in ten sites of Lahore, while the project will be extended to 516 points.
Under the project, wifi service will be provided to education institutes, airports, railway stations, and bus stands on priority level.
