American businessman and CEO of multinational technology firm Nvidia, Jensen Huang, said that artificial general intelligence (AGI) will be able to pass any human exam within the next five years.

Jensen's tech giant is a major player in the chipmaking industry and was instrumental in the development of OpenAI's ChatGPT by providing thousands of GPUs for the project.

Earlier, the tech CEO made headlines with his claim that students won't need to learn coding, as AI will handle most programming tasks in the future.

Addressing an economic forum at Stanford University recently, the Nvidia chief asserted that achieving artificial general intelligence within the next five years is possible and AI could outperform in a wide range of tests established by the computer science industry.

"If I gave an AI... every single test that you can possibly imagine, you make that list of tests and put it in front of the computer science industry, and I'm guessing in five years time, we'll do well on every single one," Reuters quoted him as saying.

Artificial General Intelligence, or AGI, refers to machines that could act like humans by achieving a human-level understanding of the world.

While artificial intelligence has achieved breakthroughs like passing legal bar exams, it struggles to master specialised tests. However, Jensen Huang, remains optimistic, predicting AI's ability to excel in all exams within the next five years.

However, since the definition of AGI is still debatable, Jenseg cautioned about potential delays in achieving the goal, attributing them to the challenges faced by scientists and engineers in understanding the human mind and defining AGI.
