Gates' 1974 CV highlights his experience with various programming languages such as FORTRAN, COBOL, and BASIC, and his work with computers including the PDP-10, PDP-8, and CDC-6400.
Interested in computer programming since childhood, Gates wrote his first code at the age of 13. His resume also mentioned a salary of $35,000, a significant amount for a teenager in the 1970s.
Moreover, it mentioned his partnership with Paul Allen, with whom he founded Microsoft in 1975, which eventually became the world's largest computer operating system software company.
In 1985, Microsoft launched Windows, a user-friendly interface for MS-DOS that dramatically transformed personal computing.
Meanwhile, Steve Jobs' CV from 1973 listed electronics and technology as his specialties. He went on to found Apple, NeXT, and Pixar Animation Studios.
Jobs introduced revolutionary products such as the Macintosh, Apple II, iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad. Although he was ousted from Apple in 1985, he returned in 1997 and successfully revitalised the company, making it one of the world's leading technology firms once again.
Interestingly, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, who were once fierce rivals, built technology empires worth over $3,000 billion.
