The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police have recently launched an innovative solution, the Safe Election App (SEA), specifically designed to enhance security measures for the upcoming General Elections on February 8.
According to the Deputy Inspector General of Information Technology (DIG IT) for KP, Irfan Tariq, the introduction of the 'Safe Election App' marks a significant stride in ensuring the safety and security of the electoral process.
This comprehensive app incorporates a range of features aimed at optimizing security protocols. Notably, the mobile application encompasses a mapped representation of police deployment throughout the province.
Alongside this, it offers a myriad of functionalities such as emergency alerts, online connectivity options, notification alerts, and information on available health facilities.
On the day of the elections, meticulous monitoring is slated to take place at crucial locations, including the City Police Office (CPO), District Police Office (DPO), and Regional Police Office (RPO).
Irfan Tariq emphasized the incorporation of advanced features in the app, such as audio and video call capabilities. Furthermore, to augment security measures, police personnel will be equipped with body cameras at 137 identified hotspots across the provincial areas.
This holistic approach underscores the commitment of KP police to leveraging technology for the seamless execution of electoral security, ensuring a safe and transparent electoral process for all citizens.
